I found that it is quite an underrated place to visit in Spain, I even found out that there are people in Spain that don't know it even exists! I know it's a shocker. It's whitewashed houses that are builded to surround the cliffs which makes it magical.

Andalucía has a lot of beautiful and charming white villages, but Setenil is the most unique of them all. Setenil is the only village where the houses are built into a rock cliff, so what makes Setenil impressive is the overhang. Setenil is a must visit when in Andalucía.
2. Beautiful Viewpoints
Setenil has a lot of amazing viewpoints where you can see the whole village and the see the houses nested into the rock. One of the best views you can get is by going to the top of the castle for amazing view of the village as well as the valley below, and you can do that for only €1. There are many other viewpoints such as Calle San Sebastian, Calle Ventosilla Alta, Mirador del Lizon, and Mirador del Carmen.
3. Gorgeous Roads
When going to Setenil de Las Bodegas, the roads are gorgeous and it is enjoyable to watch, so whether you are driving through or even taking the bus, you will absolutely love it. The speed limit sometimes go as low as 30km/h, so you can get to enjoy it all.
4. Ruins Of Acinipio
When visiting Setenil de Las Bodegas; you can visit the nearby ruins of Acinipio, which is a hidden gem that not many people know about. These Romain ruins are a 10 min drive away from Setenil de Las Bodegas, it is free to visit but make sure to check when it is open as it is not open every day. You can check when to visit on based on the schedule posted on their Facebook page.
5. The Weather
The weather in Setenil de Las Bodegas is different, the summers are short and warm but the winter is long and cold. There is more rainfall in the winter than the summer, but the houses built into the rocks are built that way to make the winter warmer and the summer cooler.

How To Get To Setenil De Las Bodegas
You can get to Setenil de Las Bodegas easily when in Andalucía, I went there from Malaga which takes 1h 20 min by bus. Setenil is located in the area surrounding Ronda so you can get there from Ronda which takes 30 mins, you can also get there from Sevilla which takes 1h 45 mins as well as from Cádiz. You can buy bus tickets from the ticket counters at the bus stations. If you are staying in Andalucía for a while, you can rent a car and easily get there. I booked a bus through Omio when I was there.
How To Move Around Setenil De Las Bodegas
Setenil is a really small town so it is better to move around on foot since it will be hard to use a car with the amount of narrow streets available, but there is a lot of hill hiking involved since the whole town is build on a rock and into the surrounding cliffs so you will be going up and down a lot.

You only need about half a day to spend in Setenil de Las Bodegas, so if you are staying somewhere in Andalucía then you can catch a bus early in the morning and then go back in the afternoon. Depending on your time, you can stay there for a full day as well and leave the next day. This is the Airbnb I stayed in, and this Setenil is a small town then you won't find big hotels, simply Airbnbs and holiday homes.
You can book your accommodation through Booking.com, which is the one I use the most, or if you wan to stay in a hostel you can book through HostelWorld. You can also use Agoda, Trivago, or Vrbo to book your accommodations. I know most people have a favourite website or app to use, so just choose what you prefer best.
